James Goede

James Goede is a senior investment and strategic leader whose role as Chief of Staff, Wealth Advisory places him at the center of Sanderson Wealth Management’s investment, client engagement, and business development efforts. A CFA charter holder with a career spanning institutional asset management and C-suite leadership, James works in close partnership with firm leadership to elevate Sanderson’s investment capabilities, advance key strategic initiatives, and expand the quality and depth of service delivered to the families and individuals the firm serves.

Prior to joining Sanderson, James served as Chief Investment Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Sterling Investment Counsel, a registered investment adviser he helped build from inception. He later served as Chief Financial Officer of Everyrealm, a venture-backed company focused on digital assets and immersive media, as a Fractional CFO through G & Co., providing strategic financial leadership across a range of organizations, and as Finance and Investment Manager at Melroc Group, a single-family office focused on middle-market private investments. Earlier in his career, James held roles at Aberdeen Asset Management, Ernst & Young’s Restructuring Advisory Group, and BNY Mellon, including a strategic assignment in London.
