John S. Gullo

John S. Gullo is the Chief Investment Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Sanderson Wealth Management, LLC.
As Chief Investment Officer, John is extensively involved in all aspects of the research process and directs Sanderson Wealth Management’s investment committee and asset allocation meetings. With experience in asset allocation, portfolio construction, and investment analysis, John is responsible for developing and maintaining asset allocation strategy, conducting due diligence on new investment options, and performing market analysis and commentary. He has earned the designations of Chartered Financial Analyst, Certified Financial Planner, and Certified Investment Management Analyst.
As Chief Operating Officer, he is responsible for the supervision and oversight of day-to-day operations. John works with members of the Sanderson Wealth Management team to seek to ensure that both current and future clients receive appropriate advice, prompt execution, and exceptional service.
In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, John works directly with clients as a wealth manager. John draws upon several years of experience and expertise in financial planning and investment management to help clients reach their financial goals and objectives.
Prior to joining Sanderson Wealth Management in 2007, John served as a Portfolio Manager for M&T Bank and was responsible for the asset management of trust and investment management accounts in New York, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. In addition to his numerous portfolio management responsibilities, he was an active member of the Portfolio Realignment and Closely Held Business Committees. Before he joined M&T in 2002, John worked for Union Bank of Switzerland (UBS) and The Horizon Group, Independent Financial Services.
John earned a Master of Business Administration from Canisius College as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from State University of New York at Geneseo with magna cum laude honors. John is both a past president and former member of the board of directors for the CFA Society of Buffalo. Additionally, John served as a mentor for the Canisius College Golden Griffin Fund and is a former treasurer for the Buffalo Jaycees.
